Episode #003 - Tapestry of Life
Losing a loved one is devastating and the stress can be overwhelming both emotionally and physically. I share what I’ve learned after my experience of losing my son to suicide in 2011.
The impact on the friends and family left behind can be more than you think. I want to share my pain so anyone who might think of suicide will stop and think of loved ones. Your pain is real but only temporary. Ending a life is permanent, there are no “do overs”. It really is GAME OVER. Call someone you can talk to, anyone or call a suicide hotline before you make that last move.
Broken Heart Syndrome
I share some information on congestive heart failure and whether the medicine prescribed was even right for me. I have a whole different take on health care now. I put my faith in God and not in the medical system and the pills they push. Did you know the third leading cause of death in the US is medical errors, called iotrogenic deaths. That was a study done in 2016, in the past three years I belive that number is probably closer to number one.
I discussed a lot of information in today’s episode that I wrote about in an earlier blog post, Broken Heart Syndrome. I also mentioned the database to check the medications for Long QT Syndrome patients. This database requires an email registration (free) so you can be notified of updates to the database. Today I ran across a video of a doctor explaining what my real problem is and how the medicine further complicates the problem, which is a vitamin B1 deficiency known as Wet Beri Beri.

To Everything There is a Season
I look for ways to enjoy life and reduce stress which is so important for overall health and especially heart health. I enjoy spinning and knitting and in the fall I do the most spinning. In other seasons I’m busy elsewhere, either the garden or the kitchen. In winter I rest. I created this video to share my passion for the fiber arts and the beauty of the fall season.
Take a moment to relax and practice mindfulness with me as I spin.

Faith and Hope
Living for over six decades with these chronic issues that doctors seemed to know little or nothing about often left me feeling defeated and with little hope. I found my courage and my strength through my faith. I found these daily devotionals by Sara such encouraging words that I hope reach out to you too, wherever you are and whatever you’re going through.
