Heal your biochemistry and heal your brain. Find out whether you have these traits or tendencies and what you can do about it. I offer insights, resources and reflections of finding peace amongst the chaos. The inner tension is a sign that you need to support your body with certain vitamins and minerals to assist it in healing.
It has taken me years to understand the implications of pyrolle disorder also known as pyroluria. Now, armed with the knowledge I can focus on supplementing P5P (bioavailable B6), zinc and Evening Primrose Oil along with magnesium for a calmer me. I share the list for you, maybe this could be you too?
My body is responding to these supplements and snippets of dreams are occasionally remembered but sporadic enough I continue the titration. My nails are showing signs of a day without the vertical splits that showed up after I slacked on my zinc supplements. My concern and reason for stopping was the zinc/copper balance which I’m beginning to understand it better but still have so much to learn. Stay tuned for updates as my knowledge expands on the subject.
However my issues also were due to methylation issues and having a homozygous (both parents) genetic disposition of the MTHFR genetic SNP I had troubles that initially needed to be dealt with after my sudden cardiac arrest. I spend time reviewing the symptoms of under methylation from Dr. William Walsh’s book, Nutrient Power (see link below).
Not everyone who has MTHFR and are an undermethylator have pyroluria issues, but people who have pyroluria have undermethylation issues that require other B vitamins and minerals for proper methylation. B6 and zinc are important for methylation and to support pyroluria nutritional needs. I have gone done many rabbit holes looking for the answer but I felt as though I had stumbled upon the missing pieces when I heard Trudy being interviewed on someone’s podcast. I can’t remember which one since I’ve listened to her on so many since then.
Trudy Scott is the first person who got my attention even though I’d contemplated the nutritional aspects of my health issues, I hadn’t been able to really hone in on what exactly I was dealing with until I heard her speak.

Allergic to Everything?
Some people have issues with so many different foods, environmental exposures and are eating a diet that consists of a handful of foods which leads to further nutritional deficiencies. Once a food is removed from the diet it becomes harder to reinstate it back due to further health declining and being able to digest enough to stay alive.
The video below has some excellent ideas on how to determine troubling foods and other irritants in a way that keeps you on the right track without becoming too derailed from “normal”.
Food Allergies and Sensitivities - Comprehensive Guide | Dr. Jin W. Sung
Note that in Genesis, before God created the Earth, plants or people, he created water and light energy. No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of the water and the Spirit. The Spirit is the information field that comes in through our antenna. Every scriptural tradition says that all living things and the universe itself are made of water. - Dr. Tom Cowan

Stop and Smell the Flowers
Last summer I gathered the seeds at the end of the season and take you on a visit in the garden as I waited for the flowers to flourish and then eventually fade. I found beauty in what appeared to be dead flowers which I chose to view as beautiful and abundant seed heads full of future flowers waiting to bloom in coming years. I enjoyed visiting the garden and creating these videos in the process. This practice forced me to slow down and really look at the beauty in nature that we often overlook on our rush to the next “thing” on our to-do-list. Remember to stop and smell the flowers while they are in their majestic forms and cherish them after the glow is gone.

Nutrient Power: Heal Your Biochemistry and Heal Your Brain
This guide will show families, patients, and doctors how to change their behavior and improve their health through new skills that will last when psychiatric drugs are no longer used.
Over the past 50 years, psychiatry has made some significantly large strides, but it needs a new direction. The current emphasis on psychiatric drugs works for now, but it is a temporary solution. Studies involving nurses, nursing, interventions and clinical work have led to a new type of treatment.
Recent advances in the molecular biology of the brain and epigenetics have illuminated a new plan. The result? A treatment path for the creation of natural, drug-free, and effective therapies that do not produce severe side effects. Chapters include:
Brain Chemistry 101
Epigenetics and mental health
Schizophrenia
Depression
Autism
Behavioral disorders and ADHD
Alzheimer’s Disease
And more!
The need-based treatments outlined in Dr. William J. Walsh’s Nutrient Power show a research-based nutrient therapy system that can help people with a variety of mental disorders. The guide explains that nutrient imbalance can cause mental disorders by disrupting gene expression of proteins and enzymes, crippling the body’s protection against environmental toxins, and changing brain levels of key neurotransmitters. Walsh’s database has connected nutrient imbalances in patients diagnosed with a variety of disorders found in the DSM.
