Last summer my calico kittens, Patches and Smudge, joined me in the garden as we harvested three different types of beans. The sunshine, fresh air and time spent just enjoying the moment is the best medicine I know for healing and there are no side effects…well, maybe a sunburn if you stay out to long.
I promised to share some videos, paintings, and other creative projects I’ve done with you. So today seemed a good day to do that while I take some time off to heal. Enjoy!

Another Day of Recovering and Laying Low
Today is the fourth day since having my remaining 8 upper teeth pulled and getting dentures. My head feels rough today and my body pretty weak. Not gonna lie, can’t eat much yet, still on soft foods, and the sleep lasts 4 or 5 hours, until the pain pills wear off. Then I toss and turn and can’t get back to sleep. My mouth feels really weird when sleeping without teeth. Can’t seem to get the spit factor right, either I’m drooling or my mouth is dry. At this point I’m not in pain but I’m not comfortable, my head aches as though I’ve been in a car accident. The bruising is faint so far and I think it usually shows up by now. I count my blessings, wherever I can find them; trying to stay in a positive mindset isn’t easy this time. Usually I research, write or create to take my mind of discomfort but this time it hurts to think.
Today I’m going to ignore the outside world and take my teeth out and take a nap for awhile after I have some lunch. Today’s menu features a protein replacement shake used to make my smoothie and maybe later some green juicing will be a boost of vitamins and minerals. Dinner plans include some ground beef and a helping of mash potatoes from our garden. I need something a little more solid that I don’t need to chew. Monday I see the dentist for adjustments so my bite is adjusted properly, it’s off now due to the swelling.

Lots of sunshine and beautiful weather coming my way for the next week so I’m going to soak up some rays of energy and make some EZ water. My body needs it to help it heal. What are you up to this weekend? I hope you get some fresh air and sunshine wherever you are, sending blessings! Take care.
