I watched the movie Under Our Skin, a movie about Lyme Disease. I feel for these patients who are dying while doctors either dismiss the disease or prescribe drugs that don’t work or tell them it’s “all in your head”. Patients are learning not to trust doctors, to do research and fight for their life. I understand where you are coming from. There are a LOT of us, the forgotten patients.
I don’t have all the answers but I’ve found a lot of things the doctors either won’t tell you or don’t really know enough…yet. I’m an optimist, I have hope some doctors can still learn. Did you know that word “doctor” means to teach?
Doctor is an academic title that originates from the Latin word of the same spelling and meaning.[1] The word is originally an agentive noun of the Latin verb docēre [dɔˈkeːrɛ] 'to teach'.
I used to work in the department of pathology and microbiology in the teaching departments at a prominent university hospital. I worked in the administrative end to teach the second year medical students, pharmacology students and perfusionist students. My boss was also the Chief of the Hospital at the time. I helped bring the department into the digital age. I loved that job, the students were awesome. To bad the medical system messed things up so bad.
There Is Hope
Lyme is often diagnosed as MS or Rheumatoid Arthritis or half a dozen other diseases, often just to get a patient out of their office. Many caring doctors who still listen to patients concerns have left the medical complex during covid. The doctors (and nurses) that are left are following a “protocol” that does not include empathy for the patient. There are exceptions of course and I try to find them if I can. Stop calling these patients crazy, that doesn’t help them feel better. It’s called gaslighting.
The biggest problem is a conglomerate of infections, many hard to treat, others dismissed as “all in the patient’s head” or denying it even exists. Who’s practicing medicine now, the medical doctor or the insurance company? The determination of the hardest cases seem to all involve a biofilm on the bacteria that antibiotics can’t knock out. Long term antibiotics and multiple prescriptions cost money and the insurance companies are losing money. Makes you think doesn’t it? I do.
The Why and How
But why do people get it? How can they get better? Is there a cure? Check out my post on Nutrigenomics and how Terry Wahl, MD no longer has the debilitating symptoms of MS (which is often considered very similar to Lyme). She no longer uses a wheelchair and now hikes, rides her bike and practices a new medicine…the kind that gave her back her life. Wouldn’t it be worth trying?
Biofilms
What is a biofilm?
biofilm
(bī'ō-film),
A thin coating containing biologically active agents, which coats the surface of structures such as teeth or the inner surfaces of catheter, tube, or other implanted or indwelling device. It contains viable and nonviable microorganisms that adhere to the surface and are trapped within a matrix of organic matter (for example, proteins, glycoproteins, and carbohydrates).

Big Pharma’s New Playbook
Just saw this new article (2 days ago) from my writing. Why Lyme Disease Gets Misdiagnosed as Depression, Bipolar, and More oh my, how much more obvious can they be? They are really pushing the anti-depressant drugs on the public. Did you see my post on SADS? If you have gotten the jab or have a heart condition or a family history of heart disease, please read that post, it could save your life.
Something else that caught my attention, just posted three days ago (as of this writing). The potential use of glycosyl-transferase inhibitors for targeted reduction of S. mutans biofilms in dental materials and this was included in the abstract.
Luciferase assay
S. mutans strain IdhRenGSm, derived from UA159 strain (here referred as wild type) was used in this study.
Ever heard of Lucifer? Just sayin’… seems like I saw something about that during the scamdemic, that assay.
