The last of September finds me wondering where did the summer go? August became a whirlwind for me. Did August go by in a flash for you too? Our garden flourished, blessing me in abundance which sent me to the kitchen to everything I could. In the midst of the chaos our internet had issues and I couldn’t post as usual.
Every August, for the past five or so years, Jessica at ThreeRiversHomestead hosts the #everybitcountschallenge on YouTube and I decided to jump in this year with both feet. I have to admit I wasn’t used to the hectic pace of canning every day AND trying to put together a video too. It also forced me to come out of my comfort zone and get in front of the camera instead of behind it.
I think this is where we left off…right in the middle of August and the challenge. I put together a Playlist for the #everybitcountschallenge on YouTube. You can catch up while I catch my breath.
There are still more tomatoes ripening on the vine and peppers galore so the canning season isn’t officially over yet, but I’m ready to slow down anytime now. I’ve got a few more canning projects to finish up before I start an exciting new challenge for the month of October. I hope you’ll join me for more adventures in the kitchen and the studio.
I’m ready to challenge the status quo, are you ready?
Thanks for the recommendation. I have some new jars I ordered from Azure Standard which features the Superb canning lids and I can't wait to try them.
Looks like really good recipes for the challenge! Have you ever tried Lehman's Superb canning lids? The gaskets are so thick, I even reuse them, ended the siphoning and the lid not sealing ordeal for me... Nice to see you and your flowers.😁
