GMO Wheat?
Have you heard the push for approval of genetically modified wheat? So far wheat has NOT been genetically modified as in GMO. It has been hybridized over the years which is the kind of genetic breeding that’s been used in agriculture throughout time. GMOs are different, they are modified to make the plants resistant to an herbicide that contains glyphosate which normally kills plants. Although wheat hasn’t been modified in the past this way, it HAS been sprayed with RoundUp, which contains glyphosate as only one of many chemicals to kill and dry the wheat prior to harvesting, making it less dependent on dry weather and more convenient for the farmer. Now they want to genetically modify wheat to withstand spraying throughout the growing season on the plants, not just at harvest time. We shouldn’t be eating chemicals in our food, it’s GOT TO STOP.
GRAS…Really??
Glyphosate is not Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) as it is touted by the USDA, FDA and the other alphabet agencies. Does glyphosate cause cancer and destroy human digestive systems via the shikamate pathway that is critical to the human microbiome? You bet it does. If you “follow the science” let me remind you the studies that are “approved” by the alphabet agencies are submitted by the company’s seeking approval. Do you see a conflict of interest? The science, in my opinion, has NOT been settled. Gluten Intolerant?
For years gluten has been blamed for digestive issues with eating wheat. Celiacs definitely have issues with gluten sensitivity and cannot eat grains that contain gluten. But, did you know that true celiacs are only 1% of the population? Gluten sensitivity has been blamed for IBS/IBD symptoms for most people who have given up wheat. I’m trying to tell you, it’s the glyphosate combined with what they’ve done to wheat, genetically grown on poor soils deficient in sulphur which increases the gliadin content, which is what celiacs are reacting to. I’m not celiac but have suffered from IBS most of my life. I tried going gluten free and it made me worse.
So what’s up with wheat? Why are so many people finding relief when adopting a “gluten free diet”? Could it be the devastating effects of the glyphosate to the human digestive system? Or could it be the genetic hybridization of the wheat over the past 150 years? Oh you haven’t heard…wheat today is NOT the same wheat our great grandparents ate. Then there’s the business of wheat that gave rise to the banking system. Later the business of flour gets interesting and how things began to change. The invention of the “Middlings Purifier”, which separated the wheat kernel and gave rise to flour that we know today.


The Grange - Farmer and Politics
The industrialization brought major windfalls to the conglomerates of milling and left farmers with little recourse but to organize themselves into cooperatives, known as “The Grange”. Politics become not whether you were democrat or republican but whether you were in support of the farmers or not. This group refers to themselves as “non-partisans”.
This explains how our food system got hijacked for money and not for our health. Industrialism and capitalism take over the milling of grains taking the nutrition away and leaving us one of the sickest nations in the world. We can trace it all back to this.

Food, Health and Where Do We Go From Here?
What does this mean for our health? What does this mean for our future? Chemicals in our food instead of the balance that had provided nutritional food for centuries. Modern agriculture has caused many health issues and the way forward is and must be regenerative farming practices.
Roundup is unregulated and poorly monitored and is causing a “train wreck in the body” and perhaps the biggest player in the problem for gut flora and disrupting the natural gastric balance.
Wheat, as it’s grown, processed and marketed today is creating “the perfect storm” for chronic disease. Wheat doused with neurotoxins in order to be grown and harvested and taken to market. Feeding our bodies with an abundance of high fructose corn syrup in all our food, coupled with a flour that is devoid of nutrition but instead causes blood sugar issues and highly processed flour, due to it’s high glycemic index from the high starch content, has caused an epidemic of obesity.
How Did America Get So Fat?
It isn’t genetics and it isn’t your fault. Your health has been hijacked for profit. Chemical industrial farming isn’t agriculture, it isn’t working with nature like our creator intended. These forever chemicals are in our food, our bodies, our children’s and our grandchildren’s. Instead of learning to grow soil we’ve become a nation offended by dirt, by germs and by bacteria. Did you know our bodies are comprised mostly of bacteria than what we’d think of as human cells?
The microbes in our bodies keep us alive and need raw milk to thrive and cultivate bifida bacteria that helps our bodies to digest our food, especially grains. Whole grains are NOT bad for you, freshly ground wheat is loaded with 40 vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and proteins. That’s 40 of the 44 we need, as humans, to survive. Grains are a powerhouse of nutrition that we’ve misunderstood for far too long.
Gluten Free - Marketing Bonanza?
Think about it. The “gluten free” market is a money maker and it took the eyes off RoundUp and glyphosate and all the other chemicals used in the toxic model of “farming”. Benefiting drug companies to become the “pharming” of the future…at the expense of our health and becoming so profitable. Literally benefiting from our demise.
It’s time we take the time to learn about what we’re eating and understanding how our food is grown. We are learning how the environment around us and the company we keep is changing us on a biological, molecular level via epigenetic changes. You can “hack” your genes by understanding what is making you sick. Knowing more about how your body works and what has been done to our food can be the key to starting your journey to health. You have the power to heal. Your body has the ability to heal.

Our lifestyle, our willingness to take on a role to fix your body, by listening to your body and knowing what makes your body happy is the first step in healing. Making changes in our personal care products, our food, our environment and the people we interact with makes a difference. The food we eat can either poison us or heal us, the science of nutrigenomics is the steps towards health, towards a future.
Why is everyone so gluten sensitive? What’s the Solution?
How do we get healthy? Eat wheat…but wait didn’t we just learn how bad wheat is? Well yes, if you are eating the flour that comes from conventionally grown wheat that has all the nutrition sifted out and more chemicals put in. But that’s “throwing the baby out with the bath water” isn’t it?
The solution is organic, ancient grains in the form of whole wheat berries that you grind as needed. The powerhouse in these small grains contain 40 of the 44 essential nutrients for life. Maybe this is why it’s referred to as the “staff of life”?
Is “Gluten Free” the answer? Not for me. But then gluten isn’t my problem, it’s the chemicals, and what’s been done to wheat. The flour on the shelf is dead, totally devoid of REAL nutrition, instead “enhanced” with synthetic vitamins. So…more chemicals.
